Dunbar is renowned for its high sunshine record, rugged coastline and attractive countryside. Dunbar’s broad High Street is packed full of unique local shops and cafes, the town also provides the start or end of the John Muir Way, a long distance walk between Helensburgh on the west coast of Scotland and Dunbar.  John Muir Way is also a cycle route. Dunbar is also on long distance cycle route NCN76. It's easy to take your bike on ScotRail trains (Friday and Sat only) - no need to book. Space more limited Booking advised on other services.

Situated on the East Coast Mainline, Dunbar enjoys excellent public transport links both north to the Capital (20 minutes by train) and south to Newcastle (1 hour by train) and beyond.
